About HFR
The Home Finance Resource (HFR) certification is presented by the Center for REALTOR® Development (CRD). CRD is devoted to lifelong learning, career advancement, and specialized credentials for real estate professionals.
With 10+ designations and certifications, over 100 microcourses, an award-winning podcast, and educational events, there is a learning experience for every real estate professional. CRD has educational offerings in nearly every real estate niche, from buyer representation to emerging technology and short sales. In addition, courses are offered online and in-person classroom formats for you to choose which style best fits your schedule.
The HFR certification distinguishes real estate professionals who have obtained additional education about mortgages & financing. This specialized knowledge provides a skillset for agents to better support their buyers through the homebuying process and help them avoid typical sticking points that can derail a transaction.

After the initial application fee of $89 is paid, there are no annual certification dues, although you must maintain membership in NAR to use HFR.
